The STI interview schedule is short and every date matters. Missing even one step, such as the objection window, can cost you a seat. Here is the full timeline, stage by stage:

How to Check Your Name in STI Interview List 2026

There are two simple ways to check your name in the STI interview list. Use both to be fully sure.

Method 1: Check on the official STI portal

1. Open the official website sti.pesrp.edu.pk on your phone or computer.
2. Log in with your 13-digit CNIC number and the password you created while applying.
3. Open your dashboard and look at the status of each school you applied for.
4. If you are shortlisted, your merit position and interview status will appear against that school.
5. Note your merit score and take a screenshot for record.

Method 2: Check on the school notice board

The initial merit list and the interview list are pasted on the notice board of every school that announced STI vacancies. Visit the school (or ask someone nearby), find your subject and post (PST, EST or SST), and check your name, CNIC-masked number and merit marks. This is also the list you will object against if something is wrong.

Documents Required for STI Interview 2026

The department checks every document you entered in your online profile at the interview stage. Wrong marks or fake documents can cancel your placement even after selection, so carry originals of everything. Based on the profile sections of the portal (Personal Information, Academics, Work Experience and Professional Qualification), keep these ready:

• Original CNIC and two photocopies
• Original Matric, Intermediate and Bachelor/Master degrees with detailed marks certificates (DMCs)
• BS (Hons), MA or MSc degree for elementary, high and higher secondary posts
• B.Ed or M.Ed degree, if you claimed it (it gives you extra preference)
• Experience certificate, if you added teaching experience
• A printed copy of your STI application or profile
• Two recent passport-size photographs

Keep two sets of attested photocopies in a file folder. No travel or daily allowance is paid for the interview, and there is no fee for it, so do not pay anyone who asks for money in the name of selection.

What Happens in the STI Interview? 7 Tips to Get Selected

The STI interview is usually short and friendly. The committee mainly checks your documents, your communication and your basic teaching ability. These tips will help you stand out:

1. Reach early. Arrive at least 30 minutes before time with your file ready.
2. Know your subject basics. Revise the main topics of the class level you applied for (primary, elementary or secondary).
3. Prepare a 2-minute lesson. Many committees ask candidates to explain a simple topic as if teaching a class.
4. Speak clearly. Answer in simple Urdu or English; confidence matters more than difficult words.
5. Be honest about your marks. Your answers should match what you entered on sti.pesrp.edu.pk.
6. Show interest in the school. Say why you want to teach in that area and how you will help students.
7. Dress decently and keep your phone silent during the interview.

Name Missing From STI Interview List? File an Objection

If your name is not on the list, your marks look wrong, or someone with lower merit is placed above you, you can file an objection. Objections are heard by the tehsil committee on 26 and 27 October 2026. Bring a written application, a copy of your online profile and the documents that prove your claim. After the Interview: STI Final Merit List, Agreement Letter and Joining

Once interviews end on 30 October, the STI final merit list will be displayed on 31 October 2026 at 10:00 AM at schools and on the portal. Selected candidates will then get their STI agreement letter on the portal on 2 November 2026. You must join your allotted school within three working days of the letter. The internship formally starts on 3 November 2026 and runs until 31 May 2027.

Please note that STI is a temporary internship of up to nine months (summer vacation not counted). It does not give any right to regular appointment and the placement cannot be transferred.
