Where to See the STI Merit List in Layyah
There are three places where you can follow the Layyah STI lists:
- School notice board: The initial merit list for each seat is pasted on the notice board of that school in Layyah. This is the main source from 23 October.
- Tehsil education office: Tehsil-level committees in Layyah, Karor Lal Esan and Chaubara handle objections, so their offices are also a good place to ask questions.
- STI portal: The final merit list will be shown on the official portal at sti.pesrp.edu.pk on 31 October 2026, and agreement letters will be issued there on 2 November.
Take a clear photo of the list when you visit. It helps if you later need to file an objection, and it saves you a second trip.
Tehsils Covered in Layyah District
Layyah is part of Dera Ghazi Khan Division and has 3 tehsils: Layyah, Karor Lal Esan and Chaubara. Every government primary, elementary and high school in these tehsils that advertised STI seats will show its own list.
| Tehsil | Where to check |
|---|---|
| Layyah | Notice board of the school you applied to in Layyah; objections at the Layyah tehsil committee |
| Karor Lal Esan | Notice board of the school you applied to in Karor Lal Esan; objections at the Karor Lal Esan tehsil committee |
| Chaubara | Notice board of the school you applied to in Chaubara; objections at the Chaubara tehsil committee |
Layyah has three tehsils, and Chaubara in particular covers a large Thal area. If you applied to schools there, confirm the exact school name on the list, because some village names are similar.
How STI Merit Is Calculated in Layyah
The merit formula is the same in Layyah as in the rest of Punjab. Your score is out of 100 and is mostly based on your academic record:
| Component | Marks |
|---|---|
| Matric (SSC) | 15 |
| Intermediate (HSSC) | 15 |
| Graduation / highest degree | 55 |
| Professional qualification (B.Ed, M.Ed or ADE) | 10 |
| Interview | 5 |
| Total | 100 |
For example, a candidate with 880/1100 in Matric, 820/1100 in Intermediate and a 3.20/4.00 CGPA gets about 12 + 11.2 + 44 = 67.2 academic marks. A B.Ed adds 10 more, and an interview score of 4 brings the total to about 81. Want a full breakdown? Try our STI merit calculator or read how the STI merit score is calculated.
Since most of the score comes from your degree, a small difference in graduation marks can move you several places up or down the Layyah list. Check that the portal has picked up your marks correctly.
STI Stipend for Selected Interns in Layyah
| Seat level | Monthly stipend |
|---|---|
| Primary (ESE) | Rs. 38,000 |

The internship runs from 3 November 2026 to 31 May 2027. It is temporary and will not be converted into a permanent job, but you will receive an experience certificate at the end, which helps in future teaching jobs.
