Where Will the STI Initial Merit List Be Displayed?
The STI initial merit list will not be published as one big provincial file. Instead, every government school that advertised internship seats will paste its own list on its notice board on 23 October 2026. This is because each seat is school-specific. If you applied to three schools, you need to check all three lists.
The list shows the candidate name, CNIC (partly hidden), academic marks and the score calculated by the portal. Your position on the list decides whether you are called for the interview.
What if your name or marks are wrong?
Use the complaint window on 26 and 27 October. Visit the school or the office of the concerned District Education Authority with photocopies of your degree, transcripts and CNIC. Complaints after this window will not be entertained, so do not wait for the final list to raise an issue.

STI Interview Schedule 2026: Who Gets Called and How to Prepare
Shortlisted candidates will face interviews on 29 and 30 October 2026. The interview is short but it carries weight in the final merit. Panels usually include the school head and education officers. They test subject knowledge, basic teaching skills, confidence and communication in Urdu and English.
- Carry original degrees, transcripts, CNIC and domicile with two sets of attested copies.
- Bring recent passport-size photographs.
- Revise the basics of the subject you applied for, including the Punjab curriculum for that grade.
- Prepare a two-minute introduction and a simple lesson idea you can explain.
- Reach the venue early, because no TA/DA is paid and no separate call letters are promised.

Final STI Merit List and Agreement Letters
The final STI merit list will be shown on 31 October 2026 at 10:00 AM, both on school notice boards and on the official STI portal. Successful candidates will then receive their agreement letters through the portal on 2 November. Once you sign the agreement you can join the school and start teaching.
STI interns receive a monthly stipend of about Rs. 38,000 to Rs. 45,000 depending on the school level. The internship is temporary and school-based, but it gives strong classroom experience that helps in later PST, EST and SST recruitment.
