Once you are selected, three documents decide your STI journey: the appointment order (often called the joining letter), the letter of agreement, and your joining report at the school. This guide explains each one for 2026, how to download your STI joining letter, what the agreement says, and exactly what to do on joining day.
Update 26 October 2026: The STI final merit list is due on 31 October 2026 at 10:00 AM, and agreement letters will be issued on 2 November 2026 through the STI portal. Log in at sti.pesrp.edu.pk on 2 November, download your agreement, then follow the joining steps below. As of 30 September 2026, no new appointment orders have been issued for fresh 2026 hiring, because applications and merit lists have not started yet. How to Download Your STI Appointment Order
In the last cycle, final merit lists were shown on notice boards and the portal on 8 December 2025, and appointment orders were planned for 9 December 2025. On 18 December the department put them on hold and accepted objections at district CEO offices until 22 December. The 2026 process is expected to work in a similar way:
- Open the official STI portal at sti.pesrp.edu.pk.
- Log in with the CNIC and password you used to apply.
- Open your dashboard or application status.
- If you are selected, click the option to download your appointment order.
- Save it as PDF and take 2 to 3 printouts.
- Check your name, CNIC, school name and EMIS code carefully.

What the STI Agreement Covers
Interns sign a letter of agreement for a fixed term. The main points reported for the STI Program 2024 are:
- Term: the current term ends on 31 May 2027. The previous term ran from 2 October 2025 to 31 May 2026.
- Stipend: Rs38,000 (primary), Rs40,000 (middle) or Rs45,000 (high and higher secondary), paid monthly into your bank account.
- Nature: temporary and school-specific; not transferable to another school.
- No regular post: the internship does not give a right to regular appointment.
- Duties: teaching work at the school; interns were not to be given administrative jobs or evening school duties.
- Certificate: interns who complete the term are expected to receive a certificate.
Read every line before signing, and keep a signed copy for yourself.

- Reach the school on time with your appointment order printout.
- Meet the head teacher and hand over a copy of the order.
- Submit attested copies of CNIC, domicile and educational certificates.

Keep an STI Personal File
Many problems later in the term, such as payment delays or questions about your start date, are solved quickly if you keep your own file. Keep these in one folder:
- Appointment order printout and PDF
- Signed letter of agreement
- Received copy of your joining report
- Attested copies of CNIC, domicile and degrees
- Bank account details given to the school
- A simple monthly record of your attendance and stipend received
Tips for Your First Week as an STI
- Learn the school timetable and your classes on day one.
- Ask the head teacher how attendance is marked for interns.
- Prepare simple lesson plans for the first week in advance.
- Build a good relationship with senior teachers and ask for guidance.
- Be regular and punctual, as your stipend and reputation depend on it.
A strong start makes the rest of the term much easier and helps you earn a good certificate at the end.
