STI Merit List Murree 2026: Current Status
The School Education Department Punjab has fixed one schedule for all districts, including Murree. Here is where things stand right now:
| Stage | Date and status |
|---|---|
| Online applications closed | 18 October 2026 (11:59 PM) – Closed |
| Initial merit list displayed | 23 October 2026 – Out on school notice boards |
| Objections and complaints | 26 – 27 October 2026 at tehsil committees |
| Interviews of shortlisted candidates | 29 – 30 October 2026 |
| Final merit list | 31 October 2026 at 10:00 AM |
| Agreement letters on STI portal | 2 November 2026 |
| Internship period | 3 November 2026 to 31 May 2027 |
Because each seat in Murree belongs to a specific school, there is no single district PDF at this stage. Every school prepares and displays its own list. If you applied to more than one school, you have to check each one separately.

Where to See the STI Merit List in Murree
There are three places where you can follow the Murree STI lists:
- School notice board: The initial merit list for each seat is pasted on the notice board of that school in Murree. This is the main source from 23 October.
- Tehsil education office: Tehsil-level committees in Murree and Kotli Sattian handle objections, so their offices are also a good place to ask questions.
- STI portal: The final merit list will be shown on the official portal at sti.pesrp.edu.pk on 31 October 2026, and agreement letters will be issued there on 2 November.
Take a clear photo of the list when you visit. It helps if you later need to file an objection, and it saves you a second trip.
Tehsils Covered in Murree District
Murree is part of Rawalpindi Division and has 2 tehsils: Murree and Kotli Sattian. Every government primary, elementary and high school in these tehsils that advertised STI seats will show its own list.
| Tehsil | Where to check |
|---|---|
| Murree | Notice board of the school you applied to in Murree; objections at the Murree tehsil committee |
| Kotli Sattian | Notice board of the school you applied to in Kotli Sattian; objections at the Kotli Sattian tehsil committee |
Murree became a separate district, so its schools are no longer listed under Rawalpindi. Hilly roads and late-October weather can slow travel between villages and the tehsil offices in Murree and Kotli Sattian, so visit your school early.
How STI Merit Is Calculated in Murree
The merit formula is the same in Murree as in the rest of Punjab. Your score is out of 100 and is mostly based on your academic record:
| Component | Marks |
|---|---|
| Matric (SSC) | 15 |
| Intermediate (HSSC) | 15 |
| Graduation / highest degree | 55 |
| Professional qualification (B.Ed, M.Ed or ADE) | 10 |
| Interview | 5 |
| Total | 100 |
Let us take a simple example. If you got 900/1100 in Matric, 780/1100 in Intermediate and 3.00/4.00 CGPA in your BS, your academic score is about 12.3 + 10.6 + 41.3 = 64.2. With a B.Ed (10) and an interview score of 4, your total becomes about 78. For more detail, see our STI merit calculator and the STI merit formula guide.
Since most of the score comes from your degree, a small difference in graduation marks can move you several places up or down the Murree list. Check that the portal has picked up your marks correctly.
STI Stipend for Selected Interns in Murree
| Seat level | Monthly stipend |
|---|---|
| Primary (ESE) | Rs. 38,000 |
| Elementary (SESE) | Rs. 40,000 |
| High and Higher Secondary (SSE) | Rs. 45,000 |
The internship runs from 3 November 2026 to 31 May 2027. It is temporary and will not be converted into a permanent job, but you will receive an experience certificate at the end, which helps in future teaching jobs.

STI Interviews in Murree: 29 – 30 October 2026
Shortlisted candidates in Murree will be interviewed on 29 and 30 October. The interview carries 5 marks, so it can decide close cases. Keep these documents ready:
- Original CNIC and two photocopies
