STI Online Apply 2026 Last Date: Current Status
As of 30 September 2026, here is the verified position:
- The School Education Department issued a notification on 25 September 2026 allowing fresh hiring against vacant STI seats.
- Hiring will follow the STI Program 2024 and a district-wise allocation.
- The notification did not give an online application link, an opening date or a last date.
- Serving Phase 1 and Phase 2 interns do not need to apply. They continue through fresh agreements until 31 May 2027.
So if you see a post on WhatsApp or Facebook claiming a fixed STI last date 2026, treat it with care. Until your District Education Authority or the official portal announces it, no date is final. For the background, read our STI recruitment 2026 update.
How the STI Last Date Changed in the Last Cycle
The best way to predict the STI online apply 2026 last date is to look at what happened in November 2025, when 12,500 School Teacher Interns were hired. The deadline did not stay fixed. It moved twice:
| Date announced | What changed |
|---|---|
| 11 November 2025 | Applications to open on 12 November (delayed from 10 November). Last date set as 21 November. |
| 23 November 2025 | Deadline extended to 24 November. Over 220,000 applications had been received. |
| 25 November 2025 | Deadline extended again to 26 November 2025, with a revised merit schedule. |
Two lessons stand out. First, the application window was short, about two weeks. Second, extensions came at the very last moment, so candidates who waited for an extension took a big risk. Apply early and treat the first announced date as the real one.
Full Schedule of the Last STI Cycle
After the last date, the selection moved very fast. This was the final schedule followed in December 2025:
| Stage | Date (last cycle) |
|---|---|
| Online applications open | 12 November 2025 |
| Final last date to apply | 26 November 2025 |
| Initial merit list on school notice boards | 3 December 2025 |
| Objections at tehsil level | 4 to 5 December 2025 |
| Interviews of shortlisted candidates | 6 to 7 December 2025 |
| Final merit list on notice boards and portal | 8 December 2025 |
| Appointment orders planned (later put on hold for objections) | 9 December 2025 |
That means appointment orders were planned only about 13 days after the last date. In practice they were put on hold on 18 December while objections to the final list were heard until 22 December. If you are not ready with documents and interview preparation before you apply, you will fall behind. Follow each step in our STI merit list 2026 guide.

When Will STI Online Apply 2026 Open?
Nobody outside the department can give you an exact date yet, and we will not guess one. What we can tell you is how the process is expected to unfold, based on the 25 September notification and the last cycle:
- The department shares the district-wise allocation of vacant seats with District Education Authorities.
- Districts identify schools and subjects where STI seats are available.
- The online application window opens on the official portal Bet939 usually for around two weeks.
- The last date is announced with the opening, and may be extended.
- Merit lists, objections, interviews and appointment orders follow within days.
Because allocation is district-based, the STI jobs last date may not be the same everywhere. Check your own district with the tracker above and see seats on the district-wise STI vacancies page.
Which Last Date Applies to You?
Not every candidate is in the same position. Here is how the STI online apply 2026 last date affects different groups:
| Your situation | Does the 2026 last date matter? | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| New candidate (never an STI) | Yes | Prepare documents and apply as soon as your district opens |
| Serving Phase 1 or Phase 2 intern | No | Sign your fresh agreement for the term ending 31 May 2027 |
| Former intern who left before 31 May 2026 | Yes | You are not covered by the extension, but you can apply in fresh hiring if eligible |
| Candidate from a new district (Murree, Talagang, Wazirabad, Kot Addu) | Yes | Confirm which DEA office handles STI hiring in your district |
If you are a serving intern, read our STI fresh agreement 2026-27 guide instead of waiting for a new last date.
How to Get the Official Last Date First
When the date is announced, it spreads quickly, but so do fake screenshots. These are the only sources you should trust:
- The official STI portal (sti.pesrp.edu.pk), where the application form and deadline appear.
- Your District Education Authority CEO office and Deputy DEO offices.
- School notice boards, where merit lists were posted in the last cycle.
- The School Education Department website for notifications.
- This page, which we update with every official change and link to the source.
Tip: set the free weekly reminder from the tracker at the top. It opens Google Calendar with a repeating reminder to check the STI online apply 2026 last date, so you never miss the window.
Application Fee and School Choices
In the last cycle, candidates had to pay a fee of Rs1,000 per school for each application, as reported when applications opened in November 2025. Because STI seats are school-specific, many candidates applied to more than one school.
- Choose schools you can reach every day, since the stipend depends on attendance.
- Match the school level and subject with your degree.
- Keep the fee receipt for every school you apply to.
- Pay only through the official method shown on the portal. Never pay an agent.
Use our STI School Finder to shortlist schools that are short of teachers before the window opens. The stipend for the seat you win will be Rs38,000 (primary), Rs40,000 (middle) or Rs45,000 (high and higher secondary) under the STI Program 2024. See the STI salary guide.
What to Do Before the STI Last Date
The candidates who succeed are the ones who are ready before the STI online apply 2026 last date is even announced. Use this checklist:
- Confirm you qualify with the STI eligibility checker: age 21 to 45, Punjab domicile and the right degree.
- Collect papers with the STI documents checklist: CNIC, domicile, degrees, photos and bank details.
- Make scans of every document and keep attested copies.
- Shortlist 3 to 5 schools in your district.
- Keep money ready for the per-school fee, if it applies again.
- Learn the login steps from our STI portal login guide.
- Start interview practice with our STI interview questions.
Why Candidates Miss the STI Deadline
- Waiting for the last day: the portal slows down near the deadline. See what to do if the STI portal is down.
- Waiting for an extension: extensions came in 2025, but they are never promised.
- Missing documents: a missing transcript or expired CNIC stops the form.
- Wrong district: applying outside your domicile district wastes your fee.
- Trusting fake dates: only the portal and your DEA confirm the last date.
Our step-by-step STI online apply guide walks you through the form so you can submit it in one sitting.
