Candidates want to know one thing: “Have I been selected or not?” Since STI hiring is done district by district, the result does not come as one big list for the whole of Punjab. How the STI Result Is Prepared
On 25 September 2026, the Punjab School Education Department allowed existing interns to continue on fresh agreements until 31 May 2027 and directed all District Education Authorities to start fresh hiring against vacant STI posts. The result is prepared in stages. Based on the last cycle, the usual order is:
- Online applications on sti.pesrp.edu.pk until the district’s last date.
- Provisional merit list is displayed for each school and post.
- Objection window of one or two days for candidates who find mistakes.
- Interviews of shortlisted candidates by the school-level committee.
- Final merit / selection list is displayed. This is the STI result.
- Offer and joining at the selected school.

The selection is handled at district level under the Chief Executive Officer (Education). School heads, Assistant Education Officers (AEOs) and Deputy District Education Officers (DDEOs) are involved in scrutiny and interviews. This is why the list is shown at schools and education offices, not only online.

- School notice board: The school you applied to displays its selected candidates.
- DDEO / AEO office: Merit lists are displayed at the offices of Deputy District Education Officers.

When you check, look at the status of each school separately. You may be selected at one school and not at another, because every school has its own merit list. Take a screenshot or photo of the list showing your name, CNIC and merit, as it is useful proof when you report for joining.

What to Do If Your Name Is in the STI Result 2026
Congratulations! Here is what you should do next:
- Visit the school or the education office on the date given in the notice. Do not wait for a phone call.

Don’t lose hope. Many candidates miss out because of a small mistake, such as wrong marks or a missing degree in the profile. Waiting List and Unfilled Seats
Not every candidate named in the STI result 2026 joins. Some get better jobs, some are selected at two schools and pick one, and some miss the reporting date. When this happens, the seat does not simply stay empty. The school and education office can offer it to the next candidate on the merit list for that post. If your name is just below the last selected candidate, stay in touch with the school for a few days after the joining date. Visiting in person is often more effective than waiting for a call.
