CTI Joining 2026 Timeline
The Higher Education Department (HED) Punjab has kept the final steps of the College Teaching Interns 2026-27 induction very tight. Here is how the last week looks:
| Step | Date | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Grievance redressal | 27–28 October 2026 | Complain at divisional committee if your marks are wrong |
| Final merit list | 29 October 2026 (evening) | Check your name at the college and on the portal |
| Placement offers | 30 October 2026 | Receive and accept your offer |
| Joining | 2 November 2026 | Report to your allotted college with documents |
| Joining report on portal | 3 November 2026 | College/candidate joining is recorded on cti-hep.punjab.gov.pk |
If you still have a problem with your marks, read our CTI grievance 2026 guide before 28 October. To confirm your final position, see the CTI final merit list 2026 page.
What the CTI Placement Offer Means
The CTI placement offer is the official confirmation that a seat in a specific college and subject has been given to you. It is issued after the final merit list, and it is linked to the college where you applied and were interviewed. Read it carefully and check three things:
- Your name and CNIC are spelled correctly.
- The college and subject match the seat you applied for.
- The joining date and instructions, including any documents the principal wants on the first day.
Keep both a printout and a screenshot of the offer. In earlier CTI cycles, candidates who did not join within the given time lost the offer and the seat went to the next person on merit. So treat 2 November as a firm date. If you have a genuine emergency, inform the college principal in writing before the joining date, not after.
Documents Required for CTI Joining
On joining day, the college office will verify your documents again and open your personal file. Carry originals and attested photocopies of the following:
- Placement offer letter (printout or screenshot from the CTI portal)
- Original CNIC + 2 photocopies
- Punjab domicile + copy
- Matric, Intermediate and BS/Master’s DMCs and degrees (originals + attested copies)
- MPhil/MS/PhD degree and transcript (if claimed)
- Recent passport-size photographs (4–6)
- Signed undertaking / agreement on stamp paper if asked by the college
- Bank account details in your own name (for stipend)
- Medical fitness certificate if the college asks for it
Colleges may ask for small extra items such as an affidavit or a character certificate. Call the college office on 31 October or 1 November to confirm, so you are not sent back on the first day.

How to Submit the CTI Joining Report
The CTI joining report is a short form that confirms you have actually started duty. It is signed by you and countersigned by the principal, and then the joining is recorded on the portal on 3 November 2026. Follow these steps:
- Reach the college on 2 November before the office opens and report to the principal or the focal person for CTIs.
- Submit your placement offer and documents for verification.
- Fill in the joining report with your name, CNIC, subject, date and time of joining.
- Get it signed and stamped by the principal. Keep a photocopy for yourself.
- On 3 November, log in to the CTI portal and check that your joining status has been updated. If it is not, ask the college office to update it the same day.
For help with logging in, see our CTI portal login guide.
CTI Tenure and Stipend After Joining
According to the details shared for this session, CTIs will receive Rs 65,000 per month if their qualification is below MPhil and Rs 75,000 per month with MPhil or above, paid through the bank. The tenure depends on the type of college:
| College type | Tenure | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Associate colleges | 2 November 2026 – 31 May 2027 | About 7 months |
| Graduate colleges | 2 November 2026 – 30 June 2027 | About 8 months |

Rules You Must Follow After Joining
- CTI is a temporary internship. It does not give any right to regular appointment.
- Transfers after joining are generally not allowed, so join only if you can serve at that college.
- Casual leave is limited (usually two days a month in earlier cycles). Unapproved absence can lead to termination.
- No TA/DA is paid for joining or interviews.
- Interns who perform well can benefit later: satisfactory CTI service now earns up to 10 marks in future merit, as explained in our CTI contract extension and new rules report.
Common Joining Problems and Fixes
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| Name spelled wrong on offer | Bring CNIC and request correction in writing from the principal on joining day |
| Portal does not show joining on 3 Nov | Ask the college focal person to update it; keep your signed joining report copy |
| Offered college is far from home | Decide before 2 Nov; transfers after joining are not usually allowed |
| Missing original DMC | Bring an attested copy and an affidavit; get the original from your board or university quickly |
| Stipend not received in first month | First payment can take time while bank details are verified; follow up with the college accounts office |
