The BISE DG Khan 9th class result 2026 shows private affiliated schools outperforming government schools by a wide margin, according to figures published in the board’s official result gazette. Private affiliated schools recorded a pass rate of 62.64%, compared with 45.09% for government schools, a gap of 17.55 percentage points among regular candidates.
BISE DG Khan 9th Class Result 2026: Government vs Private Schools
Government schools had 52,057 candidates appear, of whom 23,475 passed, for a pass rate of 45.09%. Private affiliated schools had 27,867 candidates appear, of whom 17,456 passed, for a pass rate of 62.64%. Across all regular candidates, 79,924 appeared and 40,931 passed, giving a combined pass rate of 51.21%.
Government schools produced more successful candidates in absolute numbers, 6,019 more than private schools, simply because they enrolled 24,190 more students. Measured by pass percentage, however, private affiliated schools were clearly ahead.
Private Schools Led in Every District
Private affiliated schools achieved a higher pass percentage than government schools across all six districts under BISE DG Khan. The widest gap appeared in Dera Ghazi Khan district itself, where private schools led government institutions by 24.49 percentage points (63.71% versus 39.22%). Layyah followed with a 20.02-point gap, while Muzaffargarh recorded the highest pass rates for both sectors: 65.93% for private schools and 54.45% for government schools.
Rajanpur, Kot Addu and Taunsa also saw private schools ahead by 10 to 13 percentage points each, showing the private-sector advantage held consistently across the entire board’s jurisdiction.
Girls Outperformed Boys in Both Sectors
Female students recorded stronger results than male students in both government and private affiliated schools. Government-school girls achieved a 50.58% pass rate against 40.10% for government-school boys. Private-school girls performed best of all groups, posting a 70.81% pass rate, compared with 55.46% for private-school boys. Across all candidate categories, girls achieved an overall pass rate of approximately 56.19%, compared with 41.22% for boys.
Science and General Group, Overall Board Result
Private schools maintained their advantage in both subject groups, leading government schools 62.77% to 46.56% in Science, and by a wider 52.69% to 22.42% margin in the General group, though the General group had a far smaller private-school candidate pool of just 353 students.
BISE DG Khan declared the SSC Part-I First Annual Examination result on September 2, 2026, with exams held from April 17 to May 8. Across all candidate categories, 106,001 students appeared and 51,081 passed, for an overall pass percentage of 48.18%. Independent private candidates recorded a lower 38.92% pass rate than regular candidates at 51.21%. Muzaffargarh recorded the highest overall district pass rate at 55.99%, while Rajanpur registered the lowest at 35.07%.
What the Results Show
Private affiliated schools clearly dominated the DG Khan Board’s 9th class results when measured by pass percentage, though government schools still produced more passing students overall due to their much larger candidate base. As with other boards, the gazette does not explain the underlying causes of the performance gap, so the figures should be read as an examination-result comparison rather than a full measure of education quality.
