Saudi Arabia has announced a new rule for Hajj 2026, making it mandatory for all pilgrims to carry a Nusuk Card to access key religious sites during the pilgrimage.
According to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the card will be required to enter the Grand Mosque and other holy locations, ensuring better crowd control and security.
The Nusuk Card is an official smart ID issued to all registered pilgrims and remains valid from arrival in Saudi Arabia until departure after completing Hajj.
Authorities say the card is the only document accepted for confirming a pilgrim’s identity and legal permission to perform Hajj in 2026.
The card also stores important information such as personal details, medical data, accommodation arrangements, and service provider connections.
It will also be used for transport management, including bus boarding and organized group movement between holy sites.
Officials say this step will improve safety, organization, and overall management of millions of pilgrims during Hajj.
