Honor to Launch Phone With Biggest Battery Ever

Honor to Launch Phone With Biggest Battery Ever

Honor is preparing to launch its new Magic9 series on September 28, 2026, headlined by the Magic9 Super Edition, which is set to feature an 11,000 mAh battery, reportedly the largest ever fitted into a Honor smartphone.

The Three Models

The Magic9 lineup will reportedly include three variants. The Magic9 Super Edition leads with its massive 11,000 mAh battery, a 6.8-inch display running at a 165Hz refresh rate, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a 200MP main camera paired with 12MP and 50MP sensors, and a built-in cooling fan housed in a fiberglass body.

The standard Magic9 comes with an 8,000 mAh battery, a smaller 6.37-inch display, the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, dual 200MP rear cameras developed in partnership with ARRI, and a 3D front camera system.

The Magic9 Pro Max sits between the two on battery capacity at 8,800 mAh, but features the more advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Extreme chipset, a 6.8-inch metal body display, dual 200MP rear cameras, and a combination 1:1 camera sensor with a 3D ToF sensor.

Pricing and Availability

Honor has not yet confirmed pricing for any of the three models. All specifications currently circulating are based on unofficial leaks and remain pending confirmation at the official launch event on September 28.

An 11,000 mAh battery would represent a substantial leap even by current flagship standards, where most premium smartphones typically top out well below that mark. Paired with top-tier Snapdragon silicon and high-resolution camera systems across all three models, the Magic9 series appears positioned to compete aggressively at the top end of the global smartphone market, assuming the leaked specifications hold up once Honor makes its official announcement later this month.
