OnePlus has expanded its budget N6 line-up with the launch of the OnePlus N6 Lite, an affordable 4G smartphone that focuses on a large 7,000mAh battery, a smooth 120Hz display and strong durability. The new model joins the existing OnePlus N6 and N6x, giving buyers a cheaper option in the brand’s entry-level range.

The phone is aimed at users who want long battery life and a reliable device for everyday tasks such as calling, messaging, social media and video streaming, without paying flagship prices. With a price of around $177, it competes with budget phones from Xiaomi, Realme, Infinix and Tecno.

The OnePlus N6 Lite features a 6.75-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution of 720 x 1570 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display has a 240Hz touch sampling rate and reaches 700 nits of typical brightness and up to 900 nits in high-brightness mode, which should help with outdoor visibility.

For durability, the phone carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance and MIL-STD-810H certification, which means it has been tested to handle drops, shocks and harsh conditions. It measures 8.95 mm thick and weighs 215 grams. OnePlus offers it in Midnight Black and Neo Green colours.

OnePlus N6 Lite Specifications and Performance

The OnePlus N6 Lite is powered by the Unisoc T7250 chipset built on a 12nm process. It has an octa-core CPU with two Cortex-A75 cores at 1.8GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.6GHz, paired with a Mali-G57 MP1 GPU. This setup is designed for basic daily use rather than heavy gaming.

The phone comes in a single configuration with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Users can add up to 8GB of virtual RAM, and storage can be expanded up to 2TB through a dedicated microSD card slot. The phone runs Android 16 with OxygenOS 16 out of the box.

Connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2 and GPS. The device also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is becoming rare in newer smartphones.

Camera, Battery and Price

On the back, the OnePlus N6 Lite has a 13MP main camera using an OmniVision OV13B10 sensor, with a 50MP high-resolution mode through software upscaling. It can record 1080p video at 30fps. On the front, a 5MP selfie camera handles video calls and selfies.

The biggest highlight is the 7,000mAh battery, which should easily last two days on moderate use. It supports 15W wired charging, which is slow for such a large battery, and 5W reverse wired charging to top up other devices such as earbuds or another phone.

The single 4GB + 64GB variant is priced at about $177. Buyers who want better cameras and faster charging in the mid-range segment may also consider upcoming phones like the Vivo V80 with its 7,200mAh battery and 90W charging. OnePlus has not yet confirmed whether the N6 Lite will be officially launched in Pakistan, so local pricing and availability are still unknown.

Overall, the N6 Lite is a simple and practical phone for users who care most about battery life, a big screen and a tough build, and who do not need high-end performance or advanced cameras.
