Oct 31, 2026

Checked the STI final merit list 2026 and could not find your name? You are not alone. Every year a large number of applicants are left out of the final list because seats are limited and merit is compared school by school. If your name is not in the STI final merit list, this guide explains the most common reasons, how to double-check your result, and the practical options you still have this year.

Today’s status: Final list displayed on 31 October 2026 from 10:00 AM on school notice boards and the STI portal. Agreement letters 2 November, joining 3 November. Main guide: STI final merit list 2026.
Name Not in STI Final Merit List 2026? Reasons and What to Do Now

First, Make Sure You Checked the Right List

  1. Log in at sti.pesrp.edu.pk with your CNIC and password and read your application status.
  2. Visit each school where you applied. Lists are school-wise, so your name will appear only at the school where you were selected.
  3. Search by your CNIC number and father’s name, not only by your name. Spelling differences are common.
  4. Use our STI merit list 2026 district wise page to find district and tehsil updates.

Common Reasons Your Name Is Not on the STI Final Merit List

  • Lower merit than the selected candidate: only one candidate gets each seat. See how STI merit is calculated.
  • Absent from the interview: candidates who missed the 29–30 October interview are usually dropped from the final list.
  • Missing or mismatched documents: degrees, domicile or CNIC that did not match the online form.
  • Eligibility issue: age (21–45), required qualification for the subject or level, or domicile outside the district.
  • Wrong school or subject selected: applying for a post that did not match your degree.

What You Can Do Now

1. Check whether you are next in line

If you are second or third in merit at any school, you may get the seat if the selected candidate does not sign the agreement on 2 November or does not join on 3 November. Read our STI waiting list 2026 guide to understand how vacant seats are filled.

2. Raise a genuine error with proof

If your marks or qualification were entered incorrectly, speak to the school committee or the district education office with original documents and the list photo. Keep it polite and written. The format from our STI objection 2026 guide is still useful.

3. Prepare for the next opportunity

  • Keep an eye on STI Portal updates for any re-advertisement of vacant seats.
  • Compare other teaching options such as CTI in colleges: STI vs CTI.
  • Check new teaching and education jobs posted daily in our Govt Jobs section.

Beware of Fake Lists and Agents

Lists shared on WhatsApp or Facebook are not official. Nobody can add your name to the final list for money. The School Education Department does not charge any fee at any stage. If someone asks for payment, report it to the district education office.
