The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore has opened an online portal for MDCAT 2026 recount and review requests. Candidates who appeared in the Medical and Dental College Admission Test in Punjab and are not satisfied with their result can now submit a complaint online and ask UHS to recheck their marks.
UHS conducted MDCAT 2026 on September 20, and the university has set September 30 as the last date for submitting complaints. Applications will be processed within five working days, and the university’s decision on recounting will be final, so candidates should prepare their request carefully and submit it on time.
What You Can Challenge Through the Portal
The recount and review portal allows candidates to raise several types of concerns. A candidate can request a check if they believe there is a mistake in the calculation of marks, or if their response sheet was not read correctly by the scanning system. Complaints can also be filed about the answers listed in the official answer key or about individual questions in the paper.
UHS has published separate answer keys for different paper codes, and candidates should first match their bubble sheet copy with the answer key of their own paper code. The university has also provided a facility to challenge disputed questions. In such cases, the candidate must clearly identify the question and provide evidence that supports the objection, such as a reference from the prescribed syllabus or textbook.
It is important to remember that a recount request is not a re-evaluation of the entire paper. It is a verification of whether the marks were counted and recorded correctly and whether the answer key was accurate. Candidates should only apply if they have a specific and genuine reason.
Every year, a large number of candidates compete for a limited number of MBBS and BDS seats in Punjab’s public and private medical colleges. Even a difference of one or two marks can change a candidate’s merit position, which is why the recount facility is valuable for students who believe an error has occurred in their result.
How to Apply for MDCAT 2026 Recount
The application process is completed online. First, open the UHS recount portal and state the reason for your recount or review request. Next, upload your MDCAT 2026 result card. You can also upload the carbon copy of your bubble sheet as a record of the answers you marked during the test, which helps the examination cell verify your claim.
After filling in the details, generate the bank challan from the portal, pay the required fee at the bank, and upload proof of payment. Only then should you submit the application. The UHS Examination Cell will process all submissions, and candidates will be informed of the outcome after the review is completed.
Candidates should keep screenshots of every step, including the submitted form and paid challan, in case any issue arises later. Since the deadline is close, do not wait until the last day, when the portal may slow down due to heavy traffic.
