Eligibility and Qualification
The advertisement says detailed specialisations and eligibility for each post are available on the NUST job portal. In general, NUST follows HEC criteria for faculty hiring:
- Professor and Associate Professor: PhD with the required post-PhD experience and HEC-recognised research publications.
- Assistant Professor: PhD in the relevant field from an HEC-recognised university.
- Lecturer: MS or MPhil (18 years of education) in the relevant discipline.
- Lab Engineer: BE or BS in the relevant engineering field; MS is usually preferred.
Candidates eligible for the HEC Interim Placement of Fresh PhDs (IPFP) programme are also encouraged to apply. Applicants serving in government departments or the Armed Forces must apply with an NOC from their parent organisation.
