The matter came to light in the Chinchwad area of Pimpri-Chinchwad, where a woman purchased the bedsheet from a stall during the Sankashti Chaturthi fair near the Morya Gosavi Temple complex.

According to the buyer, the bedsheet appeared normal when purchased. She claimed the label became visible only after the item was washed, raising concerns about its origin.

The woman later shared a video on social media questioning how a product allegedly made in Pakistan was being sold at a local fair. The video quickly went viral and sparked widespread discussion online.

Following the public reaction, Pimpri-Chinchwad Police formed a special investigation team to trace the source of the bedsheet. Authorities are examining the supply chain and identifying the vendor involved.

Police have also contacted municipal officials and requested further action if any violations are found during the investigation. Officials are reviewing whether proper regulations were followed.

The bedsheet was reportedly purchased during the Sankashti Chaturthi celebrations when large crowds had gathered at the temple area. Investigators are now tracking suppliers and distributors linked to the product.

The development follows another recent case in Maharashtra where authorities arrested three individuals for allegedly selling cosmetic products labeled “Made in Pakistan.” The latest incident has intensified scrutiny of imported and labeled goods in local markets.
