Oct 27, 2026

Punjab’s latest teacher e-transfer round reaches its final step today. Under the schedule notified on 15 October, e-transfer orders 2026 for promoted teachers, teachers awaiting posting and teachers from outsourced schools are due to be issued on 27 October 2026 through the School Information System (SIS). This guide explains who is covered, how to check your order on SIS, what to do if you did not get the school you wanted, and where the separate hardship transfer round stands.

E-transfer round at a glance: Applications on SIS: 15โ€“19 Oct ยท Document verification: 20โ€“22 Oct ยท Concerns resolved: 23โ€“26 Oct ยท Orders issued: 27 Oct 2026. Hardship round: final orders 29โ€“30 Nov.

Who Is Covered in This E-Transfer Round

The School Education Department opened this round to post eligible teachers against available vacant positions. It covers three groups:

  • Promoted teachers who have been promoted but not yet posted to a new school.
  • Teachers awaiting posting who are without a regular place of posting.
  • Teachers serving in outsourced schools who need to be adjusted in government schools.

CEOs of the District Education Authorities were told to make sure promoted teachers are correctly tagged in SIS, because the system can only consider teachers whose records are up to date.

How to Check Your E-Transfer Order on SIS

  1. Open the School Information System (SIS) portal and log in with the CNIC and password you used for your application.
  2. Go to the e-transfer section and open your application status.
  3. If an order has been generated, download or print it. It shows the school you have been posted to.
  4. Share the order with your current head teacher and report to the new school as the order directs.
  5. If the portal is slow, try early in the morning or late at night, when traffic is lower.

Teachers who apply through STI or other programmes can also use our STI transfer rules guide, and the earlier update on e-transfer verification explains the verification stage.

What If You Got a School You Did Not Choose?

Under the Punjab E-Transfer Policy 2024, teachers who gave too few preferences, or chose no vacant positions, can be posted by the department to any available vacancy. The same applies to teachers awaiting posting, whom the appointing authority can place through SIS. In practice, this means:

  • An order issued by the department in this way is valid, even if the school was not on your list.
  • Keep a copy of your submitted preferences in case you need to raise the matter with your District Education Authority.
  • Watch for the next e-transfer round, which the department opens several times a year, to request a change later.

Hardship Transfers: Separate Round, Later Dates

Hardship transfers run on their own timeline. Applications on SIS closed on 8 October. District Hardship Committees reviewed cases from 10โ€“16 October, objections go to the Divisional Grievance Redressal Committee from 18 October to 3 November, the Departmental Hardship Committee meets on 21โ€“27 November, and final hardship transfer orders are due on 29โ€“30 November 2026. Eligible grounds include divorced or widowed female teachers, women who obtained khula, teachers with disabilities, medical cases and wedlock (subject to the spouse-posting policy).
