The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Bahawalpur has released the BISE Bahawalpur 12th result gazette 2026 for the Intermediate Part I and II Combined First Annual Examination. The result was announced on September 23, 2026, at 10:00 am, and students can now check their marks online through the board’s official website and result portal.

According to the official gazette, 61,668 candidates applied for the examination, while 60,592 appeared. A total of 36,304 candidates passed, taking the overall pass percentage to 59.92 percent. The board also recorded 1,076 absent candidates and cancelled roll numbers.

The examination began on May 20, 2026. Theory papers ended on July 8, while practical exams continued until September 2, 2026. The result covers candidates from the three districts under the board’s jurisdiction: Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan.

Regular candidates performed much better than private candidates. Out of 48,249 regular candidates, 31,850 passed, giving them a pass rate of 66.01 percent. Among the 12,343 private candidates, only 4,454 passed, for a pass rate of 36.09 percent.

Female students once again outperformed male students. A total of 34,953 female candidates appeared, and 24,354 passed with a pass rate of 69.68 percent. Among male candidates, 25,639 appeared and 11,950 passed, giving them a pass percentage of 46.61 percent.

Among the major groups, Pre-Medical recorded the highest pass rate at 77.68 percent, with 11,686 out of 15,043 candidates passing. The group-wise results are shown below:

Candidates from affiliated private institutions recorded a pass rate of 73.91 percent, with 19,320 out of 26,141 passing. Government institutions recorded a pass rate of 56.68 percent, with 12,530 of 22,108 candidates passing. District-wise, Rahim Yar Khan topped with 61.80 percent, followed by Bahawalpur at 59.50 percent and Bahawalnagar at 58.02 percent.

The large gap between regular and private candidates shows the importance of classroom teaching and regular preparation. Education experts say private candidates often study on their own without proper guidance, which makes it harder for them to clear subjects such as English, Mathematics and Physics. Overall, the result is similar to trends seen in other Punjab boards this year, where girls and Pre-Medical students led the tables.

Position Holders and How to Check Result

Ukasha Tariq secured the overall first position with 1,158 marks out of 1,200. The second position was shared by Muhammad Saad Zia and Mishal Fatima, who both scored 1,157 marks. Monis Tariq took the third position with 1,155 marks.

Students can check their result by visiting the official BISE Bahawalpur website and entering their roll number or name in the result section. The board also offers result updates through SMS, where students can send their roll number to the code announced by the board. The complete gazette can be downloaded in PDF format from the official website for school and college-wise details.

Students who are not satisfied with their marks can apply for rechecking of papers within the deadline announced by the board. Those who passed can now move ahead with university admissions, while colleges across Punjab are also adjusting to recent changes such as the decision to abolish over 450 non-teaching posts in colleges.
