Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam has received the APSUP Excellence Award 2026 for his contributions to higher education and academic leadership.
The award was presented by Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, Higher Education Commission (HEC) Chairman Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, and Association of Private Sector Universities of Pakistan (APSUP) Chairman Prof. Dr. Ch Abdul Rehman during a ceremony at Governor House, Lahore.
The award recognizes Prof. Rauf-i-Azam’s efforts to strengthen research, innovation, entrepreneurship, international collaboration and industry-academia links at GCUF. Under his leadership, the university has expanded its international academic partnerships, strengthened cooperation with industry, and made progress in research and innovation that has improved its position in international rankings.
APSUP’s recognition highlights the growing profile of GCU Faisalabad as a research-focused, internationally connected institution, and its efforts to strengthen academic development and industry collaboration.
